Curious about Steganography and the art of using secret codes to send messages? When you are interested in learning about some cool things that you can do with your printer from home such as steganography you will need to turn to the web to get some answers.
There are dozens of different ways that you can send secretly coded messages over open communications lines. By using steganography, you are printing a long message out that appears to be nothing substantial but that contains a coded message that can only be deciphered by those that are aware of the code. It could be a series of numbers or letters that could be sent via a fax that would not appear to mean anything to the naked eye. Only those that know what to look for will be able to decipher the code.
There are other fun things that you can do with an average household printer as well. You can refill one of your old ink cartridges; preferably the yellow chamber in a colored cartridge. Refill it with store bought invisible ink and then print out documents in this ink. All you will need to purchase is a few invisible ink pens along with a syringe to extract and then inject the ink into your empty cartridge.
Print information that can only be seen by black light. To others it will appear to be a blank piece of paper but you will know what needs to be done to view the contents of the paper. Use this trick for fun or to store important information that you would not like anyone else to stumble across.
